Dear Parents / Carers,

We have had a brilliant week this week. The pupils have settled back into school life superbly and have enjoyed being back in school with their friends. 

This week our writing focus has been recount, and we looked at the short film 'Baboon on the Moon'. The children did some excellent recounts of the film. Our numeracy focus has been ordering numbers and the children have also been practising counting in 1's, 2's and 5's. We have begun learning about space this week too- we have found out the names of the planets i out solar system and have completed some Space art!

This weeks' homework is a practical task - please could your child learn to tie shoe laces - this task will last until next Friday and does not have to be done by Monday (as it needs lots of practise!), we will be practising in school too.  As I am sure you can appreciate it can be hard work tying  lots of laces all day so we thought it would be a great skill for the children to learn! Please have a look at some of the videos below for some helpful tips.
