Hello October!

Another lovely week has passed and the children have been learning lots! In math, we have introduced bonds to 10, 20 and 100 and have been counting in 10's from any given number. In literacy the pupils have been solving problems like how to get home from the Moon and working on their punctuation skills. We had great fun researching the constellations, using marshmallows and straws to re-create some. Have a look on our class page at some of the photos!

This week's homework is for you to enjoy over the next few weeks/months.

I have uploaded a stargazing checklist below.

On a dry, clear night, please use the checklist to see if you can spot any of the beautiful constellations we have been looking at. If you spot any please let us know! You could even sketch or possibly take a photo of ones you see

Also, next week and leading upto technology week in school we are going to be looking to design and create some space things in class. We would really appreciate it if you could possibly spare some recyclable materials!

These can include any thoroughly cleaned items such as:

cardboard

 tins (no lids)

plastic milk/drink bottles

plastic containers

yoghurt pots

newspaper etc.

These can be brought in from Monday! Thank you!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Have a lovely weekend!
