We have been SO impressed with how the children have handled 'time' this week - they have been superb and analogue has been covered and we have touched on digital, which we will continue further next week! Keep practising time at home as time is such a tricky concept!
We have begun looking at features of our new text type - information writing and pupils have had a practise creating their own 'all about me' / 'something they love' information poster.
After our epic 'EPIC' planning we have started researching the Aurora Borealis and Antarctica and the Arctic. We will explore how human habits have impacted on the inhabitants of these places and ways in which we can help.
For homework this week, can you find your favourite non-fiction (factual) text and then complete the checklist I have uploaded below. It familiarises the children with the features of information writing and allows them to fully engage with non-fiction texts.
