    Project Week

You need to research your chosen topic - making sure that you understand what you read, and write in your own words, to create a presentation that will be shared with the class.

    Your project must ...

    * Include plenty of information om your chosen topic (including information that is relevant: location / dates / names / diet / lifestyle etc.)

    *Be well presented

*Be written in a clear and interesting information text style

*Include lots of images (at least one of them needs to be hand-drawn)

                 Party Planning

    Budgeting Task

Marvelli wants to hold a party for his birthday - he wants there to be plenty of sweet and savoury food, drinks, a birthday cake and some sort of entertainment. Marvelli has water, cutlery and a knife to cut the cake, but nothing else, so think carefully about what you'll need!

Use Tesco.com or Asda.com to find items and prices. When you have chosen an item to purchase, screenshot it and add it to a separate document to record all of the things you would like to buy, and the cost.

    Choose from:

    Cool - A party for 20 people with a budget of £40

    Medium - A party for 50 people with a budget of £72

    Spicy - A party for 120 people with a budget of £91

When we looked at our clothes labels yesterday, we found that cotton, polyester, viscose, elastane and nylon were the most commonly used materials.

Is each of these materials natural or manmade?

How long does each one take to biodegrade?

     Suspense Writing

We have been developing our ability to extend sentences by involving our senses, and making them spooky. Today, you will be writing a suspense story! In partners, look at the presentation in the link below (click on the forward arrow to work through the presentation) and think about each aspect mentioned. Then, on your own, plan out your story by making notes/ creating a comic strip / a story mountain. The guide below includes lots of really effective ways to include suspense and build tension, so use it when you come to write out your story. Remember - the most effective suspense stories include a great deal of description (think about all of your senses as you write).
