Mystery Books

Do you often judge a book by its cover?

Lots of us do!

To encourage us to try something new, we are going to be unwrapping some MYSTERY BOOKS! 

Brand new and exciting books have been wrapped in brown paper - the only clue about the book inside is written on the tag.

If you are lucky enough to open a MYSTERY BOOK you can read it then complete a book review. Once you have sent your review to school, and returned the book, you can claim 20 DOJOS and see your review on the school website!

By reading your review, someone else could be inspired to read the book you read. YOU will be helping people to try new books!

Mystery books could be hidden in your classroom somewhere, or they could be earned through kindness, effort and using good manners. 

In your review you could mention characters, setting, recommended age range, and anything else you think might be useful, but please make sure to include: 

*The name of the book

*The name of the author

*How many stars you would give it (out of 5)

*A brief summary of the plot

*What you liked about it 

*What you didn't like about it

Your review can be handwritten, recorded, or made electronically - you can decide. There is a template below that you can use if you choose.
