Summer Term

Croseo Nol! Welcome back for the Summer Term.

I am so excited to be a part of your final term here in Cila, and I will make sure that you are leaving us here with all the skills you need to continue being successful in Olchfa!

Our whole school topic for this half term will continue to be 'What Lies Beneath'. This topic will also include looking closely at a variety of natural disasters, such as volcano eruptions, earthquakes and tsunamis. We will be doing some EPIC planning in class to help identify possible areas to learn in this topic.

If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to contact me via the school office or using my email address; reesg349@hwbcymru.net. Alternatively, you can always catch me on the school yard at the beginning or end of the school day. My door is always open!

P.E. Lessons

Wednesday AM and Friday PM - Pupils are required to wear appropriate kit and footwear.

Homework, Handwriting & Reading

Termly tasks and activities are set weekly using Active Learn, Spelling Shed, TT Rockstars and Reading Eggs. You can also find a range of helpful websites and additional tasks to build upon classroom learning within the folders on this page. Additionally, handwriting activities can be found within the Homework Folder.

Pupils will require their reading books and reading records to be in school every day. In addition, we encourage pupils to be reading for at least 20 minutes a day, so would greatly appreciate your support in your child's reading at home.

Check Up Tests

New spelling words will be available on Spelling Shed each Friday, ready for the test the following week.

TT Rockstars and Maths Check Up assessments will be carried out on Fridays too.
