Healthy Eating experiment
Next week, we are gong to embark on a week of healthy eating. As a class we will endeavour to reduce the amount of sugar and salt in our diets and increase the amount of exercise throughout the school day. We will monitor how it affects our concentration, well-being and heart rate and compare it with our results from the previous week (normal diets and exercise).
For homework, I would like you to research recipes, meals and snacks that will help promote a healthier lifestyle. The recipes can be presented any way you wish, on Hwb, collage, handwritten and so on.
We will share them so that we can have support for our challenge next week.

Your homework this week is to bring in something to plant our sunflower seeds in. We will be monitoring their growth to see what conditions they can survive and thrive in. We will be recording and plotting their growth on a line graph to compare results.
You can bring in anything that will hold compost and that is waterproof. It could be:
Please could you bring in your pot by Monday 26th April.
In class this week you have been given books to record any ideas/inspiration for story writing. The purpose is to 'magpie' any ideas when you see/hear them from other stories, TV programmes, peers, images...etc. You can record ideas in any creative way you wish; collage, scrap booking, drawings, notes and so on.
For homework this week I would like you to decorate your books to make them more personal. This can be done anyway you wish:
Secondly, I would like you to begin to record some ideas under the heading 'Settings' on the first page. This could be images from a travel brochure, drawings, names of destinations ... and so on.
I am looking forward to sharing your books and settings ideas on Wednesday 21st April.
As we didn't get around to making our designs for our Egg Capsule Science investigation before Christmas, we are going to build them next week! For homework I would like you to collect any recycling you have in the house and bring it into school ready for our build on Wednesday 21st April.
