Homework Overview 11th June 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It's been a joy welcoming the children back after half term, they have told me all about their wonderful adventures. Thank you for completing the latest homework , the plant pots are absolutely gorgeous! The children have loved showing them to their friends and have made sure to water them everyday. As the weather is getting warmer, please make sure that the children have a cap/hat with them and that sun cream has been applied on sunny days.

Reminder of dates:

Sports Day will take place on Wednesday 16th of June weather permitting. Please make sure that the children wear appropriate footwear and a red/yellow/green/blue t-shirt depending on what team they are in. Please also ensure that the children have their water bottles with them.

On Friday the 18th of June we are celebrating international picnic day. Children are welcome to bring in a snack to enjoy with their friends in the afternoon and their favourite teddy bear.

This week in math we have been learning about 3D shapes. For homework, please can the children go on a 3D shape hunt in their home or garden to find a sphere, cube, cylinder, cuboid, pyramid and cone. I would love for you to share the different 3D shapes you find. You can either take a picture of them to print off or if you prefer you can send your photos to FrancisN19@hwbcymu.net and I can share them with the class on the interactive white board. Enjoy!

Best wishes,

Miss Francis
