This week we have started learning about the element water and discovering different animals that live in the ocean. We have listened to the story 'Tiddler' by Julia Donaldson. In groups, we discussed what telling tales meant and used discussion cards to decide if it is ever okay to tell a lie. The children have created some gorgeous ocean art using chalks to create different shades. We also discussed story settings, characters and plots. Our focus this week in math has been using Venn diagrams to handle data.
This weeks homework will be a project to complete over the next 2 weeks. It is not due until after half term on Tuesday the 7th of June.
Can the children decorate their own plant pot based on our theme 'elements' and fill it with flowers? The children will then have the responsibility of looking after the flowers in school, watering them daily and seeing them grow. Please see some examples below, be as creative as you want and most importantly enjoy!
If you have questions/queries please email me.
I look forward to speaking to you next week for our parent consultations!
Have a lovely weekend,
