Week 4
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We have been busy this week practicing for the Christmas concert and loved doing a dress rehearsal and looking at all the amazing costumes! In math this week we have been recapping subtraction and practicing writing sums. The children have experimented with materials and tested to see if materials are waterproof or not, we had some very soggy children! We also thought about the properties of materials and designed a winter outfit. We have started designing and creating our Christmas tops for the Recycling + Project and look forward to finishing them next week. Our focus this half term is discussion writing the children debated if the class elf should return to class this Christmas. The Year 1 children have started using Spelling Shed and had a go at some of the interactive games. Logins will be sent home with your child today.
For homework this week please can the children make their own Christmas decoration to go on our class tree? Please see ideas below:
