Year 4 and 5

Welcome back! I hope that you all had a relaxing, sunny half term.

This term, our whole school theme is 'Once upon a time'. Our lead AoLE this half term is Maths and Numeracy. We will be focusing on probability and statistics, which will link in well to other areas of learning. We have taken part in E.P.I.C planning (Everyone Plans In Class) to help guide our learning and to generate questions that we hope to answer through the term.

PE

Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday. You will need to wear suitable clothes and trainers on these days. Please remember to bring a water bottle too!

Check up Tests

Spelling words will be uploaded onto our class page each Friday, and can also be accessed on Readiwriter. They will be practised in class weekly, during our morning activities, in preparation for the test at the end of the week.

A numeracy check up test of areas previously covered and times tables will take place on Fridays.

Homework

This year, instead of having homework issued weekly, a learning menu will be uploaded to the homework section of the class page page. You can choose which pieces of homework you would like to complete.
