Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope you had a wonderful Easter break. It has been lovely to welcome all the children back ready for summer term. This week the children have been busy making posters and crafts for World Earth Day 2022. The children have completed E.P.I.C planning and have some brilliant ideas on what they would like to learn about during this term. We have started looking at 3D shapes in math this week and have enjoyed some 3D shape hunts around the school, learning about 3D shape faces, painting and printing the different 3D faces and making our own 3D village out of Polydron.
For homework can you look in your recycling bin, what different 3D shapes can you identify? Can you make some junk modelling out of the 3D objects? Please see examples below:
Children are welcome to bring their junk models into school next Friday to share during show and tell if they wish. Enjoy and most importantly have fun!
