A week of calculating change in money, persuasive writing and its features and investigating materials and their properties! The children also loved their sports session with Gower college students and cerating some special crafts for mothers day this weekend!

For homework, can the children have a look around the house and outdoor environments for materials that we could use for some investigations in class such as whether the materials can float or sink, are waterproof, flexible, dissolvable, etc. Think outside the box as we have access to some materials here in school already and try to bring in small items only. You don't have to bring in lots of items but there is no limit if your child is excited by the coming activities with them!

As usual, spellings are now on spelling shed. New spelling patterns are updated automatically on their accounts for them to practise and we will continue with our weekly multiplication tests. Year 3 will focus on 3 and 4 x tables and Year 2 will focus on the 10 x tables.
