Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have had another busy week in school. The children have enjoyed retelling the story of Rama and Sita using shadow puppets, identifying light sources, sorting light sources into natural and manmade. In math, the children have been recapping their number bonds to 5/10/20. Practice for the Christmas concert is in full swing, the children are doing an amazing job! This week has also been anti-bullying week, we spoke about what bullying is, how to prevent it and how to look after our friends. The children all wrote things that they like about each other onto post it notes and we shared this with the class, we are so lucky to have such kind and caring children in class.

Homework this week:

Can you see how many acts of kindness you can complete over the weekend? A little bit of kindness goes a long way. Please see examples below but I’m sure the children will have some great ideas too! 

• Help your family make dinner 
• Teach someone something new
• Make a card for someone you love
• Give someone a compliment 
• Feed the birds 
• Hold the door open for somebody 
• Give a family member a big hug 
• Pick up some litter 
• Tidy up your room without being asked 
• Help with the recycling 
• Smile
• Donate food to a food bank
