This week we had two very important visitors to our class - the Mayor and the Lady Mayoress! They came with the Bumbles of Honeywood to join in with a lesson on kindness. We have been reading the book Matilda in class and have had lots of discussions about kindness and how it is so important to show kindness to others. 

We have been working incredibly hard on learning our times tables. Year 3's have been focusing on the 4 times tables and year 2's have been focusing on the 2's, 5's  and 10 times tables. 

From next week we will be completing times table tests on a Friday morning. These will be completed as a 'time challenge' where pupils will need to see how fast they can recall the tables and then see if they can beat their time the following week. Pupils' will be focusing on 1 lot of times tables a fortnight. for the next 2 weeks Year 2 pupils will be focusing on the 2 times tables and Year 3 pupils will be focusing on the 4 times tables. 

 For homework this week please could your child log in to their TTRockstars account to practise their tables. Year2 children will have their login details in their bags, year 3 pupils have the same log ins as last year.
