Time.
Happy New year to you all! We have had a lovely few days in class and I have loved hearing all about the children's Christmases.
Next week we will be starting the very tricky topic of time. We will begin with reading the time on an analogue clock. Year 2 will focus on identifying o clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. Year 3 will revise o clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to and will then go on to identifying five minute intervals ('past' first, 'to' second). If your child has an analogue watch then they are more than welcome to wear it to school next week to encourage their understanding of time.
For homework please try and point out the time as much as possible - especially on analogue clocks.
