Week 3
Hi,
This week the children have been busy expressing their views and feelings on art work and dance. We looked at some African silhouette pictures and discussed how the colours in the pictures made us feel. We enjoyed using watercolours to make our own colourful sunset pictures and cut out silhouettes of African animals. We celebrated Saint Dwynwen’s Day and practiced some Welsh dancing in PE in small groups. We reviewed each others performances saying 1 thing we liked and 1 thing we could improve. We enjoyed talking about things that we love and people who are special to us. In math we have been working hard recapping adding. As our literacy focus is information text the children wrote fact files about African animals of their choice. For homework this week please go on a walk and look at the different shades in nature. Look at the leaves, are they all the same colour and shade? Are some lighter? Are some darker?If you want you could collect the leaves and sort them into lightest to darkest!
