Staying Safe with the help of some of our favourite Characters!

                                               Welcome Back to the Spring Term

Our theme this term is 'Hands around the World' where we will be taking a closer look at countries both hot and cold.We start our journey with Africa whilst sharing stories about Handa's Surprise and Handa's Hen. We will be tasting some of the fruits from Handa's basket and retelling the story through acting and puppets. We will experience a little taste of Italy and have a go at making pizza and pasta!! We will enjoy developing our skills this term and exploring the outdoor environment too when we are looking for dragons in Wales!!! We will also be learning about Chinese New Year Celebrations and enjoying a Chinese banquet and doing some Chinese dragon dancing.

Welcome to the Autumn Term

Our Theme this term is 'Flight' we have lots of exciting activities planned to develop the pupils skills and understanding.The curriculum will focus on experiential learning and active involvement. There will be a focus this term on developing the pupils self esteem and self confidence to experiment, investigate, learn new things and form new relationships. We will be helping Percy the park keeper to solve problems, such as building new nests for the birds and helping a fledgling who has been stranded by his migrating flock to fly!!.Can the Owl become a flying teacher? We will soon discover what is needed to help him fly. We will also learn about how the owl takes charge when Percy catches a cold and is ill in bed . We will also be involved in learning about planes, rockets, kites and other flying things!!  We hope you enjoy sharing our learning with us.
