Year six pupils visited the Liberty Stadium today to listen to Dr Martin Stern retell his experience of the holocaust. Our pupils were moved by such an inspirational speaker.

All the pupils enjoyed watching the production of Best Friends Forever today which reinforced the importance of anti bullying, being respectful and kind to our friends which has an impact on our positive well being.

The year six pupils have been enjoying their new role play area to further enhance their learning about WW2. The Anderson shelter has proved a great success today , allowing a place for reflection, oracy development and empathy. It will be a source of inspiration to support their writing this term and will allow opportunities for drama, role play and research.

A BIG thank you to Mr Morris our community Governor and local historian for visiting school today. Our Year 6 pupils took part in an interesting workshop led by Mr Morris enriching the pupils knowledge about local history during WW2. The children were involved in hands on activities, looking at maps, photographs and artefacts.

Many thanks to our Eco committee for taking assembly today. They reminded us about the importance of looking after our planet. They will soon be undertaking a Fair Trade audit and handing out questionnaires to gain more information about our understanding of fair trade both in school and at home.
