This week we have read ‘Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish’.
The children have been on a mission to help our planet. We went on a litter pick around the yard, watered all the flowers in the Nursery garden and investigated areas in the yard where animals might live. We talked about what might happen to the animals if the trees and plants were cut down. We had lots of fun making a balloon rocket and seeing the balloon shoot across the room! In math we have been busy making our own number lines and using Numicon.
Our letter sound this week is ‘t’ the rhyme that goes with this sound is ‘down the tower, across the tower’. For homework please can the children bring in an object from home that starts with the ‘t’ sound?
For homework please can you do some junk modelling to show the children that we can reuse and repurpose our rubbish. Please take pictures of your creations and send them to FrancisN19@hwbcymru.net so that the children can share what they have made with the class. Remember it doesn’t matter what the end product looks like it’s more important that you enjoy and that the children have a go.
Many thanks for all your support,
Miss Francis :)
