New tasks will be set after half term.
Homework for Friday 25th October
If you have time, please could you make a decoration for our Autumn/Halloween celebrations next Friday.
You could paint a spooky/autumn picture or make something for us to hang up, such as a spider in a web. If you have a small pumpkin then you could paint a picture on your pumpkin or carve a picture into it - you could even make a dinosaur pumpkin!
I can't wait to see what you create!

Homework for week beginning 7th October
We want to make 'Show and tell' more purposeful and try to link it to our learning in class, so we have decided to have a special 'show and tell' session all about our favourite dinosaurs.
Please could you help your child to identify their favourite dinosaur and to learn a couple of facts about them. In class, we have been discussing certain features of dinosaurs, such as how the plates on a Stegosaurus sometimes flushed red with blood as a defence mechanism. We have also been discussing the following key terms: carnivore, herbivore and omnivore.
Pupils can bring in an item to represent their favourite dinosaur such as:
Reception will be sharing their favourite dinosaur on Thursday 10th October
Year 1 will be sharing their favourite dinosaur on Friday 11th October
If you have any questions then please come and speak to us

Your child will be bringing home a Pori Drwy Stori rhyme booklet on Monday (30th September).
Each week we will be learning a new rhyme in class.
Please could the pupils bring their rhyme booklet into class every Monday with their reading diaries

Your child has received a matching game with the characters from the Oxford reading tree scheme.
Try and encourage your child to learn the names by matching them to pictures with support. When they are more confident, let them try independently before moving onto the next step, which is identifying the names without the pictures. This will hopefully support sight vocabulary of key character names, and in
turn boost confidence when reading.
23rd September
Your child has brought a paper bag home this week to collect some Autumn treasures.
You can bring them in any day next week - as soon as you have some wonderful Autumn treasures to share!
We can’t wait to see what you have found when you bring them into class next week!
