Fire Safety Education

Our children in Year 5 and Year 2 will enjoy a fire safety talk on Friday 10th October from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. The aim of the workshop is for the Fire Rescue Service to engage with young people and raise the awareness of the importance of keeping safe. The objectives for the talk will enable our children to:

  • Identify fire hazards in and around the home.
  • Understand the importance of testing smoke alarms.
  • Discuss and plan safe fire escape routes with everyone in their home.
  • Be empowered to resist peer pressure in relation to anti-social behaviour and fire crimes such as arson and hoax calls
