Math’s Workshops
A math’s workshop for our Nursery parents run by Swansea University to foster a strong parent-school partnership to nurture a love for mathematics among our young learners will take place on 24th September and 1st October. The sessions will be delivered by trained practitioners and will be for parents/guardians (or grandparents or other family members are welcome) of children who are due to start in Reception in Sept 2025.
There will be two sessions in total covering topics including matching and counting games, shapes, and money. Each session will last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, including 1 hour with parents followed by a short break whilst the children join the parents, then 30 minutes with parents and children together. The session will begin at 10.45am.
A calculations workshop for parents of pupils in Year 5 and Year 6, run by Swansea University has also been organised for October 1st. The session aims to support parents to help their children with calculations. The session will begin at 9am and end at 10.30am.
