    Congratulations Cila on obtaining our 5th Platinum Renewal Flag as part of our Eco Schools Work.

     

    What is Eco-Schools?

    Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging 19.5 million children across 70 countries, making it the largest educational programme on the planet. The programme was developed by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in 1994 and run in Wales by Keep Wales Tidy.

    It is designed to empower and inspire young people to make positive environmental changes to their school and wider community, while building on their skills, including numeracy and literacy, and encompassing Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship.

  • A visit from Justin Tipuric to develop our rugby skills!

    It was great to welcome Justin Tipuric to Cila today. Justin is a former Welsh international rugby union player who played for Wales as an openside flanker and currently plays for the Ospreys. A big thank you to him for taking time out of his busy timetable to work with the pupils to develop their rugby skills.

    It was lovely to see so many parents at our school open evening, enjoying our display of Eisteddfod entries. Our pupils are so talented!!

    A big thank you to our Year 6 pupils today for supporting groups of children across the school with activities to develop positive mental health strategies. Activities included Nature Art, Knitting, Treasure hunts, sporting activities and lots more!

  • Choose Day -Tuesday!

    Today the children have been making choices and having their voices heard!

    The children have created their own timetable to choose which activities they would like to take part in across the school. The children have connected with other people in different classes. Good relationships are important for our mental wellbeing.
